Confirmation Families!

Here is the plan for Confirmation:

- March 4: Confirmation students help lead worship

- March 11: help lead worship

- March 18: help lead worship

- March 25: help lead worship

- April 1: spring break! No Wednesday night worship service, instead, join in our Holy Week services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday 

- April 8: End of the Year Parent Meeting starting at 6:00 pm, here at church

-April 15: End of the Year Activity: Volunteering at Second Harvest! Please meet *at* Second Harvest, for a volunteer shift from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. 

If you are ready to look at your summer calendars:

Day Camp will be here at Good Shepherd June 15-18. We love to have Confirmation-aged students here as volunteers that week. Youth volunteers *really* make this experience special and meaningful for the younger kids. There will be a volunteer dinner/training on Sunday, June 14. You can sign up to volunteer here:

We talked to 9th Graders about the Synod's Youth Leadership Camp, happening at Camp Vermilion in June. (This is limited to high school students: current 9-11 graders.) You will need to sign up through the Synod Website, but our church will pay for the full cost of camp, if you would like to go. Please let me know if you'd like more information. 

If you are not in high school yet - or if you are interested in camp, but maybe not leadership camp - we still love Camp Vermilion as a summer camp option for all Confirmation students. You can learn more about camp on their website: https://www.vlmcamps.org/. We do have scholarship money available if you want to go to camp, just let me know! And, let me know if you pick dates and sign up so we can hopefully coordinate and get a few Confirmation students up at Camp at the same time. 

And... if you are willing/able: mark your calendars for Saturday, June 27: this is CHUM's Rhubarb Festival here in Duluth. Our church has been asked to take the lead on kid's activities. What I really need is students willing to play gaga ball all day. Some of these Confirmation students play gaga ball every Wednesday night at Confirmation. During the Rhubarb Festival, we'll set up the same inflatable gaga ball pit. But, I constantly need 2-3 people willing to *play* gaga ball, welcome kids to join in, teach them how to play, etc... This really works best when it's led by kids/students, not adults. Mark your calendar, because I could really use Confirmation student help for this event.
